Preview for this episode confuses me. A lot. And I don't mean the preview in the above post. But the actual video.
So I guess Rudger was the fifth, a long time ago, before any of the current Signers were even born. But then something happened and he died and his hatred for Dr. Fudou caused him to be a Dark Signer. I guess. He did have the Head mark at one point, didn't he?
I'm positive this is the episode we'll find out who the fifth Signer is, judging from the preview. And I'm curious who that guy was who confronted Rudger and if he's the current fifth Signer or not.

I'm hoping again we see find the 5th. I don't think it was Ruddger though. The guy with the shadow over his face had black hair and the head mark I thought.

Rudger did have the mark of the Head in the flashback of that preview, so that sort of leads me to believe he was a Signer at one point in his life. But then, his hatred towards Dr. Fudou and other stuff that happened sort of veered him away from that position, and when he finally died, he resurrected as a Dark Signer with the spider mark.
That much I've figured out. But whoever that guy was in the preview that had his face hidden, it's either him or that other mysterious guy that Jaeger seems to know that's the fifth. But either way, it's definetly not what most of us were expecting, no? ;P
Though, I'm also wonder. Could they be the same people? >;o

Your right about Rudger and the 5th Signer Chibi Crow. The way the preview was set up I got confused. Good theory that the shadow guy is the one Jeeger's been talking too.
Spoilers below so if you haven't watched yet don't read the rest of my comments on the ep.
Awe baby Yusei ;D so cute. Kinda reminded me of Superman's beginning. Superman's parents sent him off in a rocket when their world was going to explode. Yusei's dad put him in a capsule when everythign was going to explode. Really heart pulling stuff watching his dad smile down as he took his last look at his son.
Looks like something in the Old Momentum took control and twisted Rudger.
Wow Yusei fell into the light of doom. this fall Kiryu wasn't there to save him.
Preview to the next ep. WTF Jack's gonna go DS?? Well at least Carly will have what/who she wants.

Seriously though. This episode was epic, but it also got me really pissed at the writers. You want to know why?
As soon as I get over my hatred for Yusei, they have him fall off a frickin' bridge. JUST when I was starting to like him again. And if they bring him back as a Dark Signer, I will be beyond pissed.
And JACK having DS eyes doesn't really help either.
So, hoping that Yusei won't be resurrected in a way that I think will happen, from 58 preview, Crow and Yusei will be the only former Team Satisfaction members that haven't been Dark Signers.
Luckily, I did get my early Christmas presents. Mommy Fudou and bby Yusei. And yay for fifth 'Signer' finally being revealed too, although it's in a way that I don't like. =x
So generally, epic episode, except for the part where Yusei fell off a frickin' bridge.

Calm Natsumi, calm. Go think on young Crow and JACK. - Yay for the large focus on the past. - Glad we found out how Rudger got Ancient Fairy, at least Daddy Fudo didn't drop any others after being injured like that. - I don't know what the subs will say, but I'm curious about these "Planet Particles ~ Yuusei Ryuushi" things that got at Rudger. - I did the same as Merc, but I thought Dragonball instead of Superman at the time of the bby Yusei. - Nagisa demands subs for Yusei's speech and see what it was that he was so upset about [other than the obvious]. - I love how they used the music played when Carly realized she was a Dark Signer for the last part of the duel. - Damn you Rudger. I swear, I was paranoid about that bridge after it was swaying when Yusei was knocked down all week. - YUSEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII  - Next week looks interesting; seeing as I doubt we'll get anything on Yusei, I wonder if they'll at least show the Twinnies while Martha and everyone else are released from Uru. Dark Signer JACK is... wow. |

And . . . DS JACK sounds scary. And looks scary.
So, as of 57, it's like this.
Kiryu was a D*Signer, Yusei was 'killed' by one, and JACK will be one according to next week's episode. Am I the only one who notices that Crow hasn't really been physically affected by this Dark Signer mess yet, excluding disappearing in a fog and getting a rib injury while dueling one?

Flashbacks were much needed.
Momentum eye-blast didn't look too fun
Yusei got a very appropriate name
with the preview and Yusei falling, I'm not getting a good vibe DX
I have a theory on DS JACK, but only 58 will tell T_T

No, you're not. I've been pondering over what's happened to Yusei incessantly and that Crow may or may not be the only member of Team Satisfaction that hasn't been screwed over directly by the Dark Signers [and losing the kids, etcetcetc don't count ;P]. Gah, I bet we're left hanging in suspense about Yusei until 59 at the earliest. |

Nope not much spoiler there if your thinking of Yusei. I def don't think he got bumped off. Temporarily put out of action maybe but not gone.
I was kinda surprized in the flashback when Ruddger yelled at Rex to find the Signers and destroy him. Looks like at the end he had one last bit of sanity.
Does anyone else think its odd how much Jack looks like a younger Rugger and how they were once both Signers turned into DS

I second the last sentence. Even though Rudger would probably still have that tan when he was a kid. ;P And in that photo in 56, Rudger looked so much like JACK, it's not even funny. o.o
And another thing . . . was I the only one that found Yusei's speech somewhat depressing?
