Episode 62 - The Last Battle! The Man Who Possesses Two Gods!
Rex vs. Yusei / JACK /Crow PREVIEW [Janime]:"The King of the Underworld appears at the Old Momentum in Satellite and starts moving towards the city. Meanwhile, Yusei and the others, guided by the Crimson Dragon, face Godwin. Through the powers of both the Signers and Dark Signers that Rex has received, he uses a Signer as a sacrifice in a ceremony to obtain the King of the Underworld and starts a Riding Duel. The 3 VS 1 duel between Yusei, JACK and Crow VS Rex starts.". Rex is on steroids in the preview. ;P
Preview looks like 62 is well worth the wait. And they gave Crow an epic role for once. 83
But waitwaitwait, since when did Rex have a D-Wheel? o.o Since he can't have a Riding Duel while just standing there up in the Star Temple, obviously. Who knew the old man had a D-Wheel? xP
But, it doesn't cover up the fact he lied to everyone, even to Daddy Fudou. Sure. Rex did what he asked, then he said, "Okay, I'll become evil, now that Rudger's finally gone." What a backstabber.
Can June 10, 2009 come any faster now? xP

actually it isnt EVIL persay....
Underworld King = Evil
Crimson Dragon = Good
... Rex didnt wanna side with EITHER... so he's absorbing both and becoming god. so it isnt really EVIL. its kinda out of the scope of good an evil at this point... its more... Dont change a good thing. the good thing being existence as it is. Rex obviously plans to remake the world. and he'll prolly end up possessed by powers WAY out of his range.
still. this looks beyond epic. though it feels very "Final".... i mean the entire story is Signers right? the Dark Signers are gone and now the two powers that are at war are being combined in Rex... so yeaaah...
inb4 HUGE story addition that turns everything on its head.

What Linx said. Rex is trying to surpass Good and Evil and become something more powerful than them. And I'm dying to see this even more than when the title came out, I can't see anyway the writers can outdo this if 5D's goes on, cause I get that "final" vibe too. Gah, I feel so impatient. |

Need subs. Badly.
That aside, I don't know whether to say I really liked this episode or that I didn't like it one bit, since I felt both ways at different points of the episode.
-Well, then. A Riding Duel when the opponent is standing. That threw me off. Strange idea, but I guess I'll work with that.
-Yay for Crow being the first to put a dent in Rex's life points. ;P (Since I was worried to death over those face-down cards of Rex's.)
-REX ON STEROIDS. ;P
-So we have Crimson Dragon mark on the front and Wiraquchasca (Finally learned how to spell that hell of a name.) on the back. And then Rex laughed. And I thought I had a demented sense of humor.
-I think I spotted an animation error again. Anybody notice the "Goodwin" on the screen on the D-Wheel? I'm positive that's what it said.
So the 'name' and the shirt are coming into play. And did anybody also think back to 56/57 while watching this?

EPIC =D
I loved this epi, it was high-paced all the way through and all the loose ends have been pieced together.
- So Rex was the 'Legendary Duelist', JP was right ;P
- @ Natusmi, apparently Goodwin is how you spell his name because in the epi where Carly infiltrates the Arcadia Movement, she found his file and it was spelt Goodwin ( but I prefer the other spelling ;P)
- JACK + Yusei + Crow vs Rex is still epic
- I lol'd at the sun and moon Synchro Monsters
- Anyone notice how Yusei, JACK and Crow were all on the D-Wheels as soon as Rex said Riding Duel? ;P
- CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT EPI
I'll never remember that Earthbound God's name ;P

You cant trust the way they spell stuff completely though. they spelled Dice DAICE. They also spell Mommentum Mormetn. so really, it can be spelled either way.
oh and, winley... JP wasnt the only one. most of us realized Rex was that dude ever since we learned Rex was from Satellite, and a few of us thought it ever since the story was introduced by Crow. (personally i made that theory way back when Crow introduced that story but again, i make LOTS of theories i believe. its my thing.)
and the bit with the D-Wheels was meant to be a skip-time shot xD
anyway, my thoughts... Epic. if only for that awesome awesome music. this will be a very fitting finale to the season. just hoping they dont pull a Yusei-Is-The-Last-One-alive to finish it. Wikia says thats what theyre doing but wikia also claimed that in this ep theyd use Divine's chopper... when he came on a BOAT. so yeah. dont trust them.
i smell JACK angst in next episode. ^___^
oh and easy method to say Wiraquchasca's name...

I'm still waiting for Goodwin to actually come out and tell Crow he was the Dedalus bridge guy. Cause most of us are pretty sure he was and have been since the story came out.
I liked the shocked look on Rudgers face in the flashback when he defeated Rex and Rex told him of his option to become the great combo god.
Kinda was reminded of the Hulk when Goodwin transformed. Only he didn't turn green just gained the line markings and black eyes of the DS.

Yah. Crow looked up to the Daedalus Bridge guy. Then, years later, he finds out that the Daedalus Bridge guy wants to surpass the Crimson Dragon and the Evil God, with good intentions, while risking destroying the world. And then there's the part where the Daedalus Bridge guy used and lied to everyone.
Yah. To put it in a mild way, I'd be pissed too if I looked up to that guy for so long.
And that big icky black thing is supposed to be the Mekai no Oh? o.o You have got to be kidding me . . .

Exactlly!! Though from the subs I don't think Crow total has gotten Goodwins drift that he was the legendary dulist. He based his whole theories and lifestyle on someone who was supposed to be a hero. Instead Goodwin ran off to be director and never intended to finnish the bridge. Kinda will leave Crow on a just who am I process since his hero and role model is a sham

Well, it seems at least Yusei caught on that Rex was THAT legendary D-Wheeler, and maybe JACK as well, so I'm pretty sure Crow somewhat caught on from Yusei's reactions. He may not be the smartest character, but he has common sense. (Except for back in the days of episodes 51-53, but I rather not go there.) And I'm sure Crow is more determined than that. I mean, if I were him in that position, that would only inspire me to be greater than the guy that I looked up to for so many years.
If Rex is trying to surpass THAT thing, that's one thing I'm grateful for. xP
