I was thinking we need a place to blow off a bit of steam about the dub. Or just talk about for those who only watch the dub. That said I will say now I strongly prefer the sub, but I won't flame you for saying something nice about the dub. This is after all a discussion and we can't discuss if we only hear one side of things.

Some dub voices are okay and some are not. Aki's dub voice, for example, makes my ears ache., (Literally. xP;;  Yusei's dub voice is semi-tolerable, though . . . Tristan rises from the dead? |

I agree with Aki's voice. Like I said before for a "witch" she has a very unthreatening voice unless you count the high pitch.
Looks like the dub is going into reruns. Who knows when it might return. The dubbers are probably still trying to figure out how to "fix" it for a kiddie crowd.

They are probally deciding weither to dub the second season or not. I meant their is alot of stuff in the second season that they'd need to censor.

I lol'd at Epi 26. Faaaaaaaaaail~ They've already proclaimed Rex as the Fifth Signer even though it hasn't officially been declared in the original. I would love to see someone else come up as the fifth just to spite them ;P. Seems dub characters have reverted back to stating the obvious and killing epic moments. I miss Yusei's old "ORE NO TURN". I would like to hope that they don't dub S2, espcially for the sake of characters like Kiryu, Crow, Carly, Rudger, Yusei's dad, etcetcetc.

I agree. Personally if they do dub the next season I'm gonna cry at what they do to kiryu cause we all know he is going to end up the most messed up. And for some reason I can see them giving Crow a western accent  LOL I was thinking the same on ep.26. Now I just dare them to try and get out of it if Rex isn't the 5th signer. Personally I would like to think he stold that arm off the real 5th and he just happened to be missing said same arm. |

Crow with a western accent? I could actually see them doing that =/ And he'll get the Joey-character, I fear for him. I really do. As for Kiryu, I can see them changing his name, raping his voice, changing his story and generally messing up everything that makes him Kiryu =/.

New dub came out yesterday. Looks like season 2 is a go? Wow are they in for some editing Xd.
Check it out they can't even tell the head of the crimson dragon from the tail. I know Yusei's tail mark looks like a face but to come out an interpet it to be the head. that's as sloppy as when they switched Nerve and Blitz.

I truely didn't think so either YJ. They aired ep. 27 the one where the DS first appear after the Fortune Cup. The beginning duel is Yusei vs. the possessed Dick Pitt

I do wonder... how does one give a Satellite welcome in Neo-Domino? ;P That's just how 27 was handled, that badly.
- 4Kids must really be out of resources if they're using Eric Stuart as a Dark Signer servant AND Carly's Editor. And that's just one episode ;P.
- While Carly's voice suits her somewhat I'm surprised that 4Kids are handling her as they are. There's so much emphasis on noticing Yusei's Birthmark.
- If Angela is such a great reporter, how does she get the new King's name wrong? 'Fusei Yudo'? Oh, come on...
- I've said all I've felt on the Birthmark thing; I did wonder if Yusei's was a face or something towards the beginning, but when you've seen the Mark shown as the Dragon's tail was formed at the Fortune Cup, it's a bit obvious that it's not the Head. All I can see that they're trying to do is imply Yusei is the strongest or a leader of the Signers by giving him the Head as a symbol of the role. Either way; wrong end.
- Script with its little jokes is as bad as ever, no surprise.
- I'm curious why Yusei would wonder why a guy with a purple Spider Birthmark just like the one shown destroying Satellite in the vision during his duel with JACK can be the Fifth Signer. Try again, dude.
