*THE KINGS KOURT - K-KLASS STYLE - LOCKED IN FLAMES*
Hello folks and welcome to the brand new show - the Kings Kourt - by yours truely - King Klass. Yes i have decided to upgrade myself with a new name and look - the old D-slayer = the Dimension of Death etc was getting too old and besides I am royalty
Anyway enough about me - how are you all? Good? Been better? Bad? Well how about I throw something new to lighten your day? I've seen volcanic stuff discussed a fair amount lately, and Volcanic's just happen to be a personal group favourite of mine. So I'm going to share my little bit out there for you all to see, I name this "Volcanic Cornarchs."
Okay, now I'm not an overly big fan of Cornarchs. In fact the name alone is enough to get me kind off annoyed, so I would also not mind the name Volcanic Oppression by Gecko. >_>.........But that might be asking for a little too much. So instead we will consider what it is that I need to compete nowadays. Well, as you noticed I used the term of Oppression there, so apparently I'm going with an anti-meta ideal. So locking good cards and gained synergy is going to be key here. A touch of something fairly big would be nice too.
And sine the new ban list is out and well Monarchs are looking a tad bit favourable here goes an attempt at making a decent deck for you lot to try out this enlightening format.
23 Monsters:
3 Caius The Shadow Monarch
2 Raiza the Storm Monarch
2 Thunder King Rai-Oh
3 Volcanic Rocket
1 Breaker The Magical Warrior
1 Snipe Hunter
2 Gravekeeper's Spy
1 Gravekeeper's Guard
1 Sangan
1 Card Trooper
1 Spirit Reaper
3 Volcanic Shell
2 D.D. Crow
5 Spells:
1 Blaze Accelerator
1 Brain Control
1 Monster Reborn
1 Heavy Storm
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
12 Traps:
3 Royal Oppression
3 Solemn Judgment
3 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Mirror Force
1 Crush Card Virus
And there's an ideal build...although Crush Card Virus tends to be just a tad cash relient, so Trap Dustshoot makes a nice alternative.
This deck is designed with 3 things in mind: Brute force, Lock, and Protect. You have 3 Volcanic Rockets, and 3 Thunder King Rai-Oh's to give you a massive amount of pure power, while helping achieve a major goal in this deck's theme. Thunder King is a slightly risky card in the deck, as you WILL do deck searches fairly often, what with the Volcanic Shells, Sangan, and Blaze Accelerator via Volcanic Rocket, however the ability to negate a Special Summon and run over any level 4 monster coming your way is just too good to pass up. Volcanic Rocket's grab Blaze Accelerator from anywhere's which means you can also just grab the Accelerator just to pitch for Phoenix Wing Wind Blast was well as for firing off the Shells.
Now if 6 1900 attacking monsters wasn't enough, Breaker when first summoned and Card Trooper after a milling boost you to having 8 in the deck. Card Trooper can even be fetched by Sangan! On top of that they have their own little effects to add on to the team. An extra draw here, hit a Mirror Force there. Snipe's risk factor drops a little as Shells can just cycle in for each other increasing you chance of hitting what's needs to be killed, and getting the results that you want. The Monarchs have addition of effects that will help you out with taking care of problems in the way while providing a solid 2400 attack in your arsenal.
This here will be the Brute of your team. Next is the Lock section.
The big card here is, of course, is Royal Oppression. This card is here to stop ALL the big stuff that nobody ever wants to see. Things like Dark Armed Dragon, Synchro’s, Zombie's, Judgment Dragon and Lumina, etc. All of it! Thunder King also gets honourable mentions here as well as he is a one shot Oppression. Phoenix Wing Wind Blast is the other key lock. Screwing with your opponent’s card draws and helping you control field presences. Lastly are the additions of D.D. Crow. To be honest, this goes in for Wulf, Necro Gardna, and Malicious more then anything else, although Gladiator Beast's and Zombie's making it still seem like a good choice as well. With Volcanic Shell's in the deck, you make 1 for 1 deal seem like +1, and keep the duel at a pace that pleases you.
Now the last thing I'm gonna touch up on is Protecting. Oppression's and other such cards tend to need a little protection, as losing them can be lethal in a duel. Solemn Judgment is the ultimate protection card for the deck. Spirit Reaper, Gravekeeper's Spy and Guard carry on as walls for other stubborn bigger hitters, and Gravekeeper's Guard can spin Synchro’s back to the Extra deck. Mirror Force and Torrential Tribute make for nice mass removal.
This deck has shown lots of potential and gives special summoning related decks a headache.
I hope this was useful. Use this for to improve your skill.
Anyway this is your friendly neighbourhood D-Slayer out.
So Till next time folks, remember have fun and good luck
