Episode 56: The 17-Year Old Vow: The Destiny Guided by MomentumAiring Date: 4/29/09 Summary: After defeating Kiryu, Yusei is confronted by Rudger to a duel. Meanwhile, Rudger begins to tell Yusei about the partnership with Yusei's father, Professor Fudou. Preview Rudger: Listen, Yusei. And the photo . . . dang. Yusei's dad was short. ;P This episode seems interesting. But, I hope the 47 stunt doesn't show up again, though it's unlikely at this point. His hands are on the towering Godwin Brothers' rears according to Puffbutt ;P. Also lolbrunetteRex. And you still mean Epi 46 ;P. Epi looks awesome; Yusei's dad has a face, now give us a name 83. We need a flashback explanation as well, Nagisa is curious about Daddy Fudo's voice and personality. I am curious about why Rudger's being targeted now [despite the fact that I'm convinced Yusei has / is about to snap[ped] judging by the preview]. Janime's version of the preview made me lol; "Yusei: Rudger, you are insane!..."Either way, bring on Wednesday 8] And quit teasing us with the six days between each epi~ |

I agree by this point Yusei has gone off the deep end. Lets list who he's all suffered to lose.

He's been messed with for his whole life. So ya I'm waiting for him to start with the evil laugh and take out Rudger. Especially with Rudger taunting about what he did to his dad, that just ices the cake.
So on other things what happened to Misty vs. Aki and Jack vs. Carly? It has taken both Jack and Aki forever to get to them now if Yusei takes out Rudger, the "leader" will they all still have to duel?

I'm trying to forget 46. It's part one of my recovery from the Yusei hatred I've had. Well, the preview does make this episode promising. And if Yusei does finally 'snap' against Rudger, that would be the best thing. Ever. I'm sick and tired of his mood swings, being sad and depressed at one point to being calm and collected to the next. That's just irratating. xP But, to be honest, I'm disappointed that we already have a Yusei vs Rudger R2 after only 10 episodes. (Yeah. Only.) The writers really should have waited longer, like they did Yusei vs D*Kiryu. They waited 19 episodes until that rematch. Although that was a longass wait, it was worth it and they took time to develop the story better. But not this time with him and Rudger. Unless they're planning to show Aki vs Misty and JACK vs Carly while Yusei vs Rudger is going on, (Three duels going on at once? Madness, I know.) if Rudger is defeated, what's the point of the modified opening then? xP;;; Just for the fun of it? To make the opening more epic for no reason? And I know Dr. Fudou's name. It's Yusei Fudou Sr. ;P |

I'm with you completely there, Merc. 57's title interests me in Yusei's state of mind or whether its referring to something else. And yes, Natsumi, I did ;P. Rudger being targetted so early, it's almost unnatural to go after the leader while there's others yet to face. Makes me wonder what would be after Misty and Carly's duels. Unless there's something major waiting, it seems a bit strange on the writers' part. And you spoke of the Snr. / Jr. before. Either way, we finally get JACK vs. Carly afterwards :3. |

Yes but what will be the point of the other Signers dueling unless Yusei loses this match to Rudger. For the leader of the DS who was supposed to only be assessable after his minons demise Yusei busts in on him easily. Unless its part of Rudger's plan he wants a matching set of sacrifice souls. Seems he got Yusei's dad now he wants Yusei

'kay. If you haven't seen 56, stop what you're doing and watch it. Otherwise, this post will ruin it for you, and I know what it feels like to have an episode ruined for you. xP
First of all, lolwut? How many turns was it before Rudger summoned Uru again? Fastest time that passed before the summoning of an Earthbound God, no?
Ushio being controlled by a spider. Why does that look familiar . . . ? xP
I lol'ed at the Rex and Rudger scene.
Crow's up to something. I know it.
That picture Rudger was holding made me laugh so hard, just like in the preview for this episode. Silly, Dr. Fudou is silly.
And, as for the preview for 57 . . . WHO'S THE FIFTH SIGNER? and Dr. Fudou? Bleeding? Madness. Pure madness.
Overall, can Wednesday, May 6, 2009 come any faster? x[

after watching this, I have to post something.
this is probably one of the BEST episodes ever. Rex talking with Rudger kinda confused me without subs, but nothing I can do there.
However, I won't be surprised if Yusei actually loses. Rudger's going more all-out then the other DS have.
As for the 5th Signer: WOW

Straight to buisness, thoughts on epi.
- Agree with Natsumi, Rudger rematch too soon,
- We see Jeager at last, wonder who he was talking to
- I lol'd at Rex's duel-disk-arm.
- REALLY FAST summoning of Earthbound God.
- Wonders what happened with the duel between Rex and Rudger
- Need subz now.
- Umm, I can't think of anymore, too wrapped up in preview again ;P
- YOUSAY SR MAKES AN APPEARANCE =D
- 5TH SIGNER FINALLY =D

Lol looks like both Goodwin brothers have FMA arms.
I like the way Crow sneeks off mischeiviously and nobody notices. I'm tryign to figure out what's going to protect him now that he is away from Rua's safty bubble and it looks like he is very close to the duel.
0-o the main character lose. OH NOOOOOO!!! Well at least that would give reason for the rest of the Signers to continue fighting. Only who is going to save the world if not Yusei. Aki maybe?

The main character losing? Not really that surprising anymore, really. ;P Though, if Yusei loses, wouldn't he . . . Wait, I dunno. All that I do know is that the outcome won't be really pleasant experience. And the anime would be screwed.
And I wonder what the heck Crow's doing myself, going off like that.

Ah thank you for the subs.
And its not too unusual for a main to lose remember Yugi losing... well actually Atem lost and then went off the deep end to redeem himself.
Judai also lost 3rd season. That was when he became Haoi after losing all of his buddies.
The stage is already kinda set for a repeat since Yusei has see so many of his friends sacrificed and he's dueling one after the next without stop.
