Yeah I been just goofing off in Rohan lately since the grinding has basically become a crawl atm for Kurmui so I decided to try a class I normally would never even consider playing ever in an MMORPG and that is a Mage or in Rohan's Case the Dark Elves. First impression I got of this class is its basically the AOE/Glass Cannon Character of Rohan and oddly enough gameplay wise not that much different than Dhans which really surprised. Instead of the Crits of massive damage the Spell attacks are what does the damage for this class ( hitting currently at lv 30 for about 1200 for base damage off the main spell and about 800 for other spells crits going up to 900 on normal spells and about 1.5k on the main attack spell) When going at the beginning of this game thru the tutorial I had lots of trouble with being able to take out much of anything simply you need to be a good distance away from a target ( 25m to be more accurate ) and hope that you can bombard the enemy enough with attacks that it dies b4 it comes close to you otherwise you pretty much going to die. However as I leveled up and unlocked or upgraded skills this became unbelievable easier to accomplish ( I was putting 4 in Intelligence since I want this character to be a literal cannon in game play ) Once I got to about 15 I equip the Character with Crafted Armor and a Artisan Staff and this is when the insanity began for this character within about a week I have been able to level this Character up to 30 with very litter effort and am able to kill mobs 12 levels higher than my current which means lots more exp. However I found that the AOE atm really doesn't do much since lower than 40 the mobs really don't clump up all that much so when I get past lv 40 I probably make an update post on this thread).
There are several things you want to do if you want do play a Dark Elf in this game:
1. You are a glass cannon meaning you going to take a lot damage from melee so getting damage Reduce options a must.
2. You want to get the best P.Def armor you can get since like I said earlier anything gets into Melee range you are basically dead.
3. If you can afford to put RP into this game I suggest Getting the Molly Pet so much help since it heals you as well as negate attack occasionally a big help with this Class since you don't want to get hit too often with such low P.Def. If you can't do this get a Honey Bear ASAP
4. I suggest always have Dark Eyes Active constantly ( unless Resting ) and get Dark Message to Lv 5 ASAP as well as Intelligence Beam which is your main damage dealer also getting lv 5 Health Coil and a Lv4 Mana is extremely helpful for the surivability of this class since well HP self explainitory and MP just so you can loop spells spam style
5. Use Crafted Gear whenever you can espeically Armor since you have a higher chance of getting your damage reduce/damage reflect and P.Def increase in their maximum so either going for your craft class Magic Tools or Armor your best bet however if you are going Magic Tools expect a lot of your time spent finding Passion Seeds and Plants which are the least common Material in the game.
In closing if you someone who likes to deal heavy damage/nuke but don't want to be a melee class this is probably the class for you if you don't mind being a Magic User Class

but its nice to have a spy in an enemy guild XD that and you didn't adders this one to Silva yet D=
) but the really fun part is how easily it is to grind with everything usually dies to a Int Beam (lv5) or Energy Sphere (lv5) plus one shot for either a Mana (lv4) or Health Coil (lv5) attack and when it comes to multiple this class can dish out an good amount of damage with the AOE ( usually averages around 1700-2000 ) and damage from my staff for regular damage averages around 550s - 740s and when I crit its over 1.6k on normal attack but if I get a Int Beam to crit it hits really hard for about 2.6 which already beats my Agi Dhan for damage XD. Granted I didn't put much into the Buff for this Char except for the Health Mana Boost Buff which is of course at lv5 ( hoping my stone works tomorrow and have a lv 6 on this one ). As for PvP its very very slow atm I can kill Giants extremely easily and the same with Dhans ( assuming they get hit with the DE root spell ) however still have problems with Str based Humans and annoying as hell Full Vit Dekans ( thought with Dekans its an utter stalemate and they can't do shit except spam heal/pot and hope they can run away when they don't get a chance to do any damage thanks to Coil Spells XD )As for damage taken still kinda squishy at this point but the Molly helps a great deal might waste some cash in IM and just hax level up my Molly to lv2 since I don't have the patience to feed it constantly. I can say to anyone planning to play a DE Pure INT build expect to spend some money for this build due to the Molly Investment and at the least bit getting your skills to lv 6 asap
