Its funny isn't it, those little stories you know by heart. Every time you tell them they become more true, more... I don't know, important I guess.
This story I know all too well. It seems like a life time ago now; I was recently in university at the time and looking for a place to keep up with my weekly ygo fix. And I found it, on YF, long dead tho the site may be now. I got quickly addicted to forum posting. I remember some of the forums I started, or started posting on, there were only a few of us then, having these little conversations. Only one really caught my attention, JSPENG666. There was something about him, even then, that connected with me. I couldn't have said what at the time, but there was something...
Then, as the history of the site just seemed to go, it was hacked; everything was lost, including our accounts. I returned under my original screen name, I was getting used to it by then. But it seemed someone else didn't have the same idea. Some spunky guy under the name of Ragnarok quickly sought me out, and challenged me to guess who they were. I was given three guess to get it right, I got it in four...
And it has been four years now since he came into my life, and I can't imagine what it would be like without him. In so many ways he has become my muse, not that he would ever know it. He’s the only person who can really make me smile even when I’m mad at him. Life is about an endless tapestry of stories, and all stories have to have a beginning somewhere, and I couldn't imagine a better one than this...
That’s why it’s good to remember times like these. Days like these, when something special begin, and continues year after year. And why I ask those who can to join us in our little celebration of our stories beginning. Thank you.
