-Earth Federation Forces/Earth Federation Space Forces(E.F.F./E.F.S.F.):
The Earth forces, the world's countries have unified after many wars under one flag. Currently at war with the Principality of Zeon, separtists who want to have the space colonies become independant bodies from the earth's sphere due to the Federation's oppressive methods of taxation and suppression used on the spacenoids.

-Principality of Zeon:
The unification of most of the space colonies formed by Zeon Daikun in U.C. 0053. Originally the Republic of Zeon, after his death it is seized by the power-hungry Zabi Family and begins building arms. With its new "Mobile Suits", Zeon has the technological edge over the Federation Forces, and declares war January 3rd, U.C. 0079.

One of the very first mass production Mobile Suit created by the E.F.S.F and care usually used in Space Combat though they are known to have been used on the land combat in the early days of the Federations Introduction of their own Mobile Suits. Though cheap to build the have a fatal flaw of over boosting a target

Magellan Class Battleship-
Command Battleships that are generally deployed in a 1:2 ratio with Salamis Class units. Leaders and other figures of battlefield authority not engaging in combat with MS or other weapons can generally be found aboard one of these units.

FF-S3 Shaverfish-
All terrain fighter devoloped for combat both inside and outside the earth's atmosphere. Used as the primary weapon, along with their battleships, to oppose the Zeon's new "Mobile Suits".

Nagatsu Suranai-
Second in command of teh Snap Dragon Corps. An excellent strategist and a powerful newtype. His skills inside an MS however are only average at best. He is usually seen with his younger sibling Minazuki and guards her protective at all times. Much of a loner for the most part his ageless eyes hold a dark secret of the past. Each night he is tormented by visions of unending torment.

Minazuki Suranai-
The Younger two of the two Suranai Sibilings and also part of the Snap Dragon Corps. Though younger of the two Minazuki is the guiding force in her brother's life. Happy go lucky and easy going in sharp contrast to her older brother she is well liked by those around her. Of course she is prone to crying and usually doesn't have a problem dealing out a punch or two to any one she doesn't like.

Ballack Fulkrum
The best sniper of the Snap Dragon team, he can almost never miss his mark.

Cronus Shatterfield-
A longtime child friend of Nagatsu's and a member of the Snap Dragon Corps. His skills are unquestionable and his loyalty to those he trusts unwavering.

Maxwell Rochefeld-
Member of the Snap Dragon Corps. A coward who passed the entry test by a fluke. He can have his moments, but is usually unreliable during combat

Pentecost Savant-
Member of the Snap Dragon Corps. and called "Pen-Pen" by his squadmates. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer but follows most order to the tee. He is also a promoter of bad luck in the worst kind when it comes to combat and usually screws up.

Seig Raus-
Leader of the Snap Dragon Corps. A well rounded pilot who inspires charisma on the battlefield, although those who have met him in person say he is surrounded by a depressing aura.

Char Aznable-
The Famous 'Red Comet' of The Battle of Loum. One of more well known pilots at Zeon's disposal and has led many important mission in his time. Great things are expected of this Pilot. He is usually seen piloting a Red Zaku marking him part of the Speical Officers Division

Snap Dragon Corps.
The MS Corps. lead by Seig Raus. Said to contain some high class pilots.

MS-05A Zaku I Prototype-
The prototype MS chosen for development by the Zeons. Many are fielded during the initial aspects of the One Year War but this model soon shows its age in combat.

Anarctic Treaty-
Prohibits the use of chemical, nuclear, and biological warfare as well as colony drops. Made 2 weeks into the war after half of mankind is lost due to these atrocities.

Earth Sphere-
The Earth and the positions of the 5 "Lagrange Points" where colonies can safely be placed without worrying that they will fall out of orbit or crash onto the earth.

Mobile Suit-
Humanoid weapon developed by the Zeons. With the prohibiton of mass-destruction weapons, these are the most powerful weapons in existence.

Newtype-
A person born and raised in space. Said to have a "sixth sense" and seem to be much more physically and mentally capable than an average person.

Oldtype-
A person born on earth, lacking the heightened abilities of Newtypes.

One Year War-
Conflict involving Zeon and E.F.S.F. during 0079 about the freedom of the spacenoids. January 3rd, U.C. 0079 - January 1st, U.C. 0080

Space Colonies-
Giant cylinders that orbit the earth from space. Built by man to move the burgeoning population from th planet. Create simulated gravity and are decent copies of what the earth itself is like.

Chapter 0: Strange Visions[/color]

Pain. Fear. Pain. The sensations rocked Suranai's minded relentlessly. He was drowning. Struggle as he might he furiously tried to claw his way to the surface in order to quench his air starved Lungs. Something was holding him in place no matter how much he struggled He couldn't move no matter how he has tried. I am going to die Suranai thought to himself I am going to die underwater in a watery grave. Opening his eyes he coughed forth a column of bubbles that rush from his mouth as he struggled to break free. Looking around furiously he looked down to see that he was bond head to foot in chains and locks that restricted his movement. He was floating in a thrice cursed tank of water he had to find a way out no matter what. Looking out from his watery prison he could the shadowy forms of two people who he could only guess was two men in lab coats.” The test specimen is coming around nicely it should be fully developed in two days time. At this rate the Genesis Project should be complete within a week! Soon our goal of populating space a reality!" said the taller of the two shadows. What in the blazes are they talking about? Test subject what could they be talking about. Air he needed air there was no way he was going to die here. Exerting all his remaining energy he struggled one more time to break free only to fail Once more. He mind started to grow blurry from the lack of air he could only one word before losing all conscience, "Minazuki......"

Suranai bolted straight up in his bed screaming his younger sister Minazuki burst into the room activating the auto lighting system shining blinding white searing light in Suranai's eyes "Big brother what is wrong I could hear you screaming from three floors down what is wrong?" inquired Minazuki with a long of deep concern on her face. "It’s nothing Mina go back to sleep it was nothing." Suranai replied as he wiped cold sweat that was seem to pour from his forehead like a morning dew. Not really believing a word her older brother was saying simply smacked him on the back of the head. "You know you are not that great of an older brother if you won't tell what’s wrong!" pouted Minazuki with a sour look on a face that for some unexplained reason frightened Suranai than his nightmare. "It’s that same nightmare again Mina it’s nothing new" "Again what do you mean the drowning dream again geez sometimes I forget you are my older brother geez only little children have nightmares and scream like that." Sighing to himself Suranai got up from his Zero G bed and floated to his wall locker. "Well if you are just going to ignore me at least get ready for tomorrow since we are shipping out with Seig and the other tomorrow on a mission that sounds really exciting. "Exciting you say Minazuki from what I have heard its nothing the basic training we just finished shouldn't be anything we can't handle Mina. Anyways I am fine, now get some sleep." " Are you sure Naga I don't know you better not start bawlin in front of the other guys or your get laughed at!" giggled Mina before running out the door back to her quarters. Little sisters are such a drag sometimes and what was that dream he and had what it meant.


Chapter 1: Vision of the Future Unknown[/color]

"What is the meaning of this Seig?! Why have I been appointed to Second in Command of the Snap Dragon Corps?" demanded Suranai as he slammed his armored fist on the mission debriefing table leaving a deep dent in the metal table. "Settle down Second Lieutenant Nagatsu the higher ups said that your test scores for the evaluation exam were the highest in your class at the academy I mean perfect scores on all tests and exam is unbelievable I mean I don't believe it. You better not get yourself killed since I don't allow death in my squadron. We are the elite of the elite in the Mobile Suit Divisions and never before has anyone from basic training being promoted to Second Lieutenant before its unheard of." Suranai seemed not to be the only one who had been added to the Snap Dragons along with Minazuki and himself several others from that same group had been included people how in Suranai deserved to be there like Cronus Shatterfield his buddy as far back as he could remember and Ballack who graduated top in their class in the Mobile Suit Sniper Division. Some he couldn't believe had made it past the exam like that moron from Terra Firma Maxwell who Suranai bet wouldn't last a day as a military man.

Minazuki stood close to her brother at little fearful of so many people she didn't know. Both Minazuki and himself before entering the academy had never been allowed to interact with anyone besides their adopted father Kazashiro Kanawa who took the two sibling s under his wing and raised with his two other children. "Its okay Mina calm down you are embarrassing me hiding behind me" Suranai whispered admonishing his sister's timid behavior. He couldn't really blame her though she had amnesia like himself since she was 10 years old.” I don't trust this guy Seig he probably gonna get us all killed no text book smart guy can even operate a mobile suit much less be second in command of a 50 pilots much less a squad of 3 that is going to be needed in this mission!" scoffed Pentecost as he picked at his nails with a small fish knife. The mans sheer weight made Suranai queasy thinking about how such a large man could fit into the mission room much less a MS's cockpit. "Stow it Pen Pen I don't want to hear out of your mouth you are accompanying Suranai and Myself on this next mission. Let the battlefield show who the better pilot is." growled Seig at Pentecost silencing him with a dark glare. "Whatever ya say boss man I will enjoy showing up the rookie." sneered Pentecost as he flicked a hunk of dead skin hitting Suranai's obsidian armor.

"I suggest you all settle down since you will all be under my command for this mission." replied a cool calm voice that silenced any further conversation as man entered the room who sports a white helm that covered his face. "Well well if it isn't Char Anzabel so they chose you to lend this little venture." smirked Seig at everyone’s reaction to the legendary Red Comet himself entered the room. "Omigosh that is the Red Comet big brother!" gasped Minazuki as she eyed her idol. Suranai didn't show a single sign of emotion as he eyed the Red Comet through the visage of this masked face. "So this is the new recruit I have been hearing about nice outfit you have there." commented Char before he sat down at the head of the table. "As all of you know there have been reports of a Federation Factory on Side 7 rumored to hold something called Project V. We have yet to ascertain what is actually at the factory but as far as the higher ups have told me it holds something that we cannot on any circumstance fall into Federation hands. I will enter the colony while the three who will be coming with me take care of my back as I investigate the factory." "I see your point Char I guess I will have to break in the rookie and cover your back at the same time. Alright people you heard him move out and head out to the hangar bay!!" Without a word the entire squad filed out of the mission room. Suranai, Seig, and Pentecost file down to the hangar bay and survey the Mobile Suits they would be issued for the mission. Before them stood Seig's Command Zaku in its emerald glory and covered with the corps. Insignia. Pentecost was already preparing his Zaku II for combat finishing some last minute checks. Minazuki having followed her brother to the hangar looks around the hangar bay in utter awe at many workers preparing for upcoming attack. "Hey Big Brother what Mobile Suit have you been issued?" asked Minazuki how started hopping up and down in excitement. "Well Seig said I can pick any one in the hangar bay for the mission so I am going with that one over there." replied Suranai pointing at the far end of the hangar at a worn out Zaku 1 Prototype whose once proud emerald colors had faded to a dull olive color. "Eww what an ugly Mobile Suit why not use one of the newer Zaku II like that Pen Pen guy over there?" ruffling his little sisters hair one last time before he answered "I don't know Mina I have just a feeling that it will get me through all the way to the invasion of California." "California? Invasion? What are you talking about big brother? You are not making any sense." pouted Minazuki who always took the patting on the head as one would expect from a grandfather and not an older brother. "Hmm I just have this feeling that this Suit will keep me alive over that other Zakus in this hanger I just know it."

Chapter 2: We who are about to die, We fare thee well[/color]

"Hey Nagatsu looks like we have another tag along on this mission" remarked Seig who now strode up behind Suranai and Minazuki dressed now in his slate black flight suit with his flight helmet neatly tucked under his arm. “It seems the Red Comet wants to break in another recruit today so I guess Maxwell will have to do since the others have already retired to their quarter. A nerdy looking fellow stood behind Seig who looked around the hangar bay like a country boy first visit to the city. This guy is going to be more hassle than a help thought Suranai who wasn't at all impressed with Maxwell in the least bit. "Hey big brother this follow smells like cat pee." whispered Minazuki who wrinkled her nose visibility at that seem to radiate from the fellow the smell much like some form of crystallized dope that some graduates were using back at the academy when trying to kick. “Shh Mina he can hear you" whispered back Suranai as he gently elbowed his sister. "Second Lieutenant it’s a pleasure to meet you." muttered Maxwell whose eyes didn't seem to focus on point for very long. "Right....anyway how much more time before we move out?" inquired Suranai. "About an hour or so they have to make some last minute adjustments on the Mobile Suits get yourself to your Suit and get yourself ready I want you ready to go in a half hour we are almost within range of Side 7." replied Seig quickly "Yes Commander" with a swift salute Seig turned with military precision and walked back to his mobile suit to over see the final checks before the battle. Turning to Minazuki Suranai smiled one final warm smile before wordlessly turning and striding with great purpose towards his mobile suit as tech teams scrambled about preparing each one of the five Zakus that would be involved in this deployment. Minazuki looked on as her brother strode away from her and for the first time in her life see saw a timeless quality in his features of one who had seen more than one human should ever bare and feared for her brother's safety. Almost to herself she quietly whispered “Be careful big brother..." Tears fell from her eyes as she thought this might be the last time she would see her brother's warm smile from when he returned he would be a totally different person and not the fun loving caring brother who looked at after her for her entire her would return a changed man and Minazuki could only hope he would be the same and return.

With his mind focused on the path ahead of him Suranai never heard his siblings farewell, already his was focusing his mind and body for the upcoming task at hand. With surprising speed he had crossed the hangar bay now stood before the Emerald Titan who was now being prepared for combat. A lead tech officer seeing the pilot who Mobile he was in charge of quickly saluted before saying, " Second Lieutenant Nagatsu you are just in time I never would have thought you would have taken a newer Suit this one is a little banged up. Anyways I was wondering what armaments you will be going out with for this mission sir." "Give me a Zaku Bz and Shotgun I think they will do nicely for the mission at hand." answered Suranai so quickly he made the tech officer jump at how so little thought was even put into the request. Signaling to several techs standing nearby the quickly move the appropriate weapons attaching a Heat Hawk to the Mobile Suit's weapon along with a shotgun loaded and a bazooka being neatly placed on it back holster. Jumping slightly and floating up due to the lack of gravity Suranai floats up to the chest area of the Zaku and opens the hatch to the cockpit. Quickly flipping switches and dials the sleeping titan rumbled to life and hummed with activity. Steeling himself one last time he closed the cockpit hatch cutting him off from the outside world in this metal coffin as the internal lights kicked in as Mobile Suit's camera was active lighting up the three screen in front of him revealing to him the hangar bay. A familiar of Seig came through the comm. system, "This is Demon 1 all Mobile Suits move to the hangar bay entrance as we will drop into space for deployment.”Whatever ya say boss man" came a reply from Pentecost who already had his Zaku on the move with Seig and Maxwell close behind. "Copy that Demon 1 this is Suranai in Demon 2 I am moving out." grabbing the dual control sticks he manipulated them with ease making his Zaku lumber forth towards the hangar bay to his right stood the Red Command Zaku of Char Anazable himself the head of the crimson Command Zaku placed it left hand on his Zaku' right shoulder and over a private comm. Char whispered to him, "Can't wait to see what you can do Genesis." Before Suranai could get a word in edgewise Char boosted his Zaku forward fire up the booster before leaping out of the Hangar bay. Suranai pondered to himself as he dropped from the transport into space what those cryptic words meant.

Chapter 3: In Twilight a Sister's saving grace[/color]

Pulling back lightly on the control Suranai and firing the booster on his Zaku to right itself. His hands danced on the control panel like a pianist orchestrating a symphony. "All Units move to the rendezvous point we will be meeting up with the rest of the Red Comet's squadron and then be holding sentry positions outside Side 7 keep your sensors on to sweep for hostiles." Seig barked quickly into the comm. Suranai couldn't help but notice a melancholy sound to his voice that Suranai couldn't help but think that something must be on his commander’s mind and chose to keep silent. "Hostiles? There aren't any feddies out here not after the thrashing we gave there sorry assess at Loum. They couldn't have enough firepower out this far not after the thrashing we laid on
Them." remarked Pentecost rather smugly. "Man, this is so boring since when does the Snap Dragon squadron play guard duty!" grumbled Maxwell into his comm. eyeing this sensors several blips began to be registered on his sensors. Great just great Federations Forces and would seem to have a presence in the area probably a left over Battle group from Loum. "Uh...fellas I am picking up several enemy units on my sensors." remarked Suranai before reaching for the Bazooka on his Zaku's back.

"Ah crap, Snap Dragons about face and lock on the coordinates Suranai is locked on! At all costs cover Char" barked Seig as he wheeled in his Zaku around going for his machine gun and hold it at the ready. Pentecost and Maxwell reach for their weapons. Char already seeing that the situati8on is well taken care fires up his Red Zaku boosters into overdrive landing on the Colony's hull and opening a latch and entering the colony. "Alright boys I am picking up twelve Shaverfish class fighters and a Magellan class Battle cruiser let blast these feddies straight out of our fair Zeon. "I am going to show the newbie what I can do!!" screamed Pentecost as he madly dashed forward firing his Machine gun in a crazed fashion blasting three Shaverfish. One of the pilots aboard one of the Shaverfish screaming one final time as his ship is reduced to a flower of blue flame. "Hashanah that is how you do it newbie!!" Raising his bazooka and sighting on another Shaverfish Suranai unleashed a round from his Bazooka the recoil from the weapon shuddering him to the core of his Mobile suit as another unfortunate Shaverfish who was trying to take Seig's back? " Thanks Nagatsu behind you!!" replied Seig as he unleashed a stream of machine gun fire blasting yet another one from the sky. "Ohhhh pwetty colors" murmured Maxwell as a trio of Shaverfish looped behind him blasting him With a barrage of missile fire reducing his Zaku to nothing more than a floating debris. "You god cursed hippie pull it together!! As Seig quickly boosted forward ripping out the cockpit and pulling out the unconscious Maxwell and quickly stuffing him is his own cockpit before unleashing another barrage of machine gun fire blasting another Shaverfish to ruin. Moving behind a small asteroid Suranai vision suddenly went dark and rapid images flashes before him. The images were of him firing his Bazooka Blasting two more Shaverfish before dashing forward directly at the Magellan itself. Pentecost unleash another barrage from his machine gun blowing away another two Shaverfish before yelling, "What the hell are you doing Nagatsu?" With a snarl of feral fury Suranai roared like a man possessed by wild animal as he unleashed two more rounds from his bazooka blowing apart two more. "Whoa what the hell?" replied Pentecost through the comm. Suranai no longer cared about the mission there was only one thing on his mind that that was protecting his sister from federation hands. Quickly moving with uncanny speed his fired another shot from his bazooka blasting another Shaverfish and rapidly reloading his bazooka with a fresh clip. Seig boosted upward unleashing another barrage of machine gun fire blasting another two Shaverfish, " Great he is has lost it " swore Seig as he reached for his Heat Hawk energizing it. With another roar of anger Suranai unleashed another barrage from his bazooka blowing apart another Three Shaverfish finally leaving the Magellan unprotected. Boosting forward Seig yelled to his squadron, "Everyone, move in and attack the Magellan at close Range!” Suddenly a hatch on the side of the colony blew outwards as the Red Comet erupted from the Colony quickly followed by a white mobile suit like Suranai had ever seen before. This must be the what they had come here to retrieve but it would seem that the Federation had already gotten their hands on it. Both Mobile suits were locked in a fierce proximal combat as the hacked and kicked at one another. Quickly switching to his shotgun both he and Pentecost charged the suit in a mad dash at the Magellan with Pentecost drawing forth his Heat Hawk. Taking a dive under neath the Magellan and out of the ship's firing range he looped behind the Ship and readied his Shotgun. Pentecost slammed his Heat Hawk in the side of the battleship sending sparks and hunks of metal debris in space the Magellan unleashed a barrage from it Machine gun turrets heavily damaging his Zaku as Seig looped underneath the ship and hacking furiously at the bottom of the ship send flames and smoke into space from the vicious attack. Finally in position Suranai quickly pumps three rounds directly into the bridge of the battleship killing the entire crew. All three Zakus pull back as the Magellan careered under the brutal punishment it had just taken before blowing up in a giant gloat of green fire as the ship imploded upon it. Breathing heavily under the exertion Suranai felt a cool satisfaction that his first battle had turned out so well. Straightening out his mobile suit he and his squad mates returned to the Hangar bay of their awaiting Musai that had been called in to pick them up. They were no longer needed in this battle as they landed back on board their ship a comm. from a private line came in through to his comm. "Big Brother are you alright are you hurt please tell me alright." came the voice of a very concerned Minazuki. " Don't worry sis I am all right tell the med teams that we have a wounded pilot. "Alright brother I will make sure." "Thanks Mina" as Suranai switched off his comm. before leaning backing his cockpit chair. Hold his hand in front of his eyes he noticed his hand were shaking uncontrollably not from fear or stress but from excitement. A Demon in himself had been awakened inside him and it terrified him. Then the image of Minazuki's smiling face flashed before him and he grew calm. His sister was his savior and his treasure and no Federation soldier would lay a hand on her as long as he still drew breath.

Chapter 4: A Hidden Mission Amidst Paradise[/color]

Opening the cockpit to the cool damp air of the Musai’s Hangar bay Suranai unhooked himself from his seat and jumped out of the Zaku floating down light before touching the hangar floor as soon as he landed the air erupted with cheers as several tech teams ran and lifted Suranai on their shoulders. Among the jostling Suranai could he his fellow squad mate Pentecost also had been hoisted up. Giving Suranai a thumbs up Pentecost yelled towards him, " Ya did a good job today Second Lieutenant and welcome to the Snap Dragons!" Laughing him silly Pentecost rode the wave of cheering men and women. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted Minazuki at the far end of the hangar standing next to Seig. Mentioning to the one that were carrying him to set him down he ran to Minazuki's side. When she turned to face him her face was swollen and red from what looked liked a great deal of crying. With a squeal Minazuki suddenly whipped around tackling Suranai to the floor.” You idiot!! Don't do that again at least say goodbye to me when you leave!" Lightly pushing his sister from him he uttered a few words that Minazuki would never forget, “Hey I am fine I am alive aren’t. You little brat I am always going to come back and that is a promise." Giving her a light hug he quickly got to his feet and stood at attention in front of Seig who seemed to still be preoccupied with whatever was bothering him. "Great job out there Nagatsu. I hear command has decided to send us in the first wave of some huge invasion on Terra Firma however they are giving us a week of R &R at some resort colony not far from Earth. Its actually a ruse of the units we were sent to capture on this mission we were only able to recover a single Mobile Suit and Battleship they are going to be bring it in dry-dock at our next destination so enjoy the relaxation before we ship out." said Seig who looked at the two siblings question. Turning sharply around on his heel Seig waved toward some incoming medic who put Maxwell on the stretcher and taking him to the infirmary. That goes one lame excuse for space thought Suranai to himself.

Turing now to Minazuki he asked, “So where you want to go for this little break we have?”To the beach to the beach!!" giggled Minazuki excitedly. Sometimes when Minazuki acted like this it made him forget that they homeland was at war and chaos and bloodshed surround them. Laughing lightly he followed his skipping sister out of the hangar bay. The following day they arrived at a small outlying colony in Side 5 here he was going to the beach with several other members of the squadron along with another new face that came in the night it seemed the corps was growing everyday. This new fellow talked with a heavy German accent and called himself Ballack. The odd fellow would be the squadron's best sniper and would be a great asset to the group. Against Suranai wishes his sister had decided to wear a swimsuit much to his dismay as it lured the eyes of several of the other squad member and being the only female in the whole lot of them made Suranai very uneasy. "Your sister is very purty" said Pentecost nudging Suranai who promptly boxed the fat man in the ears. Thankfully this time Seig seemed in a better mood as laughed at Pentecost who looked like a beached whale as rolled back and forth like an over turned turtle. Several members of the corps had stayed behind having decided that it would make more sense to train than have fun. Suranai personally wanted to forget about the war and watch his sister have fun for a change. Having finally reached the 'beach' (basically it was a really big pool) Suranai relaxed on the beach as watched Minazuki play in the waves. Might as well let her have fun for a change there is no need to have her worry about anything. There was an entire garrison of Mobile Suits outside the colony safeguarding the colony from any remnants of the Federation Fleet that somehow survived the devastating loss at the hands of Zeon.

Suranai then felt the cool hand of Seig on his shoulder "We need to talking Nagatsu this concerns why we have been really given R&R ." whispered Seig into Suranai's ear. Narrowing his eyes and Suranai turned and followed Seig to a table of a local café. Wordlessly Suranai followed and wondered why Seig only wanted to talk to him. Sitting across from his commander Suranai noticed an urgent look on Seig's face. Wordlessly Seig slide a manila envelope that had been labeled Project Victory in bold indigo letters. "Open it Nagatsu" said Seig as he lean back in his chair and clasped his hands together as Suranai opened the envelope. Inside was a report of hand written in labeled at the top "Char Aznable" scanning the paper quickly his eyes widened. The report stated that several Mobile Suits were captured by federation forces which Char had simply reports as several Mobile Suit of federation design and a Battleship. However they had been able to recover one of these humanoid Mobile Suits along with a Battleship that seemed to be constructed for Mobile Suit Deployment. Suranai couldn't believe what he was reading the federation who had been thought to be technologically inferior to them had somehow been able to develop some weapons that surpassed their own forces in power. "We are here to guard the two recovered units from any further Federation attempts on recovering them. However this mission is to be commander personnel at this time. So keep your lips sealed to the others I want you to get down to the Hangar bay and start preparing the dismantling of these weapons so our techs can analyze them." said Seig looking around them with great suspicion." You have my word Seig they won’t get the last two if I can have mind to." “Good however since almost all of the colony's Mobile Suits are outside the colony you going to have to use a 06A that is in the hangar. We have some reliable information that the feddies might make another attempt on recovery so I want you down there since it seems the others are too raw for this assignment. “This statement in itself confused Suranai since some of the other corps member had more battle experience than him but since Seig was putting his trust in him he could let him down. standing up and holding a slip of paper that Seig had hastily written down instructions Suranai left to find the hangar bay Hopefully there would be no need for him to be gone long they were on vacation.

Chapter 5: The Emerald Maiden Rises[/color]

Minazuki was having the time of her life. This was the very first time she had ever gone swimming much less the beach. She frolicked in the waves and giggled as the cool water splashed her lightly. She could see her brother and several of the other corps members on the beach relaxing. As usual she could see her brother sitting solemnly apart from the others and she felt a pang of sadness clench her heart tightly making it hard for her to breathe. Suranai stood silently on the beach still incased in his body armor and wear the leering death mask. As far as she knew she was the only person who had ever seen what was behind that mask and what always looked back at her were those kind eyes filled with joy and happiness at least when she was involved. However today she felt the gaze in his eyes had changed as Seig quietly placed his arm on Suranai's shoulder and whispered something in his hear. Unfortunately Minazuki couldn't hear what was being said and watched with surprise as both Suranai and Seig walked down the beach and out of sight. Suddenly Minazuki felt like someone was standing next to her. It was Ballack his red spiky hair rustling slightly. "So that freak in the black armor is your older brother so I have heard." said Ballack in a very thick accent that Minazuki blinked a few times before realizing what he had just said. "Yeah he is what of it?" retorted Minazuki who threw a little pouted face at Ballack. "I can't place my finger on it but that man is more than what he seems. I felt my hair stand on the back of my neck the first time I laid eyes on him. Why does he wear that armor and even more so why that mask?" Actually this was a question she had always wondered about as far as she could remember he brother had always worn that armor. "It makes him look cool you got that you old fart!" replied Minazuki as she blew a raspberry Ballack's way. A little unnerved that a little girl just basically insulted him Ballack back up slowly when he saw that Minazuki was crying. Ballack entire focus of attention was drawn to Minazuki's eyes which showed signs of great suffering and sorrow. Wordlessly walking away from Minazuki he turned once more to look at her only to receive a one fingered salute from Minazuki. Turning red and muttering several words in German as he walked away. Enjoying the peace in quiet again and wiping the tears from her eyes nonchalantly as she to happily start wading farther out. Diving under water Minazuki looked about in wonder as many fish swam by her. Thousands of artificial reefs of myriad of colors that twinkled before. However the fish were swimming away from her in mad panic as if they were being chased. Turning around slightly in the water Minazuki jaw flew open with a flurry of bubbles. Not even 10 feet away from her submerged in the water was a mobile suit. From the markings on its hull it declared itself of Federation in origin. The Red white titan turns it head facing Minazuki and seemed to not see her probably due to the frantic fish. Suddenly another mobile appeared next to it this one had two great yellow horns protruding from it head and in it hand it cradled a weapon which from her days back in the academy she immediately recognized it as a form of beam weaponry. As she watched she saw several more mobile suits arrive before she thought it would be better to report back to the others.

Finally reaching the shoreline Minazuki could see several of the Federation Mobile Suits rise from the water behind like great sea serpents poised to strike. As soon as she arrived she could see that several Zakus had arrived machine guns flaring as they mowed down a single Federation unit making it shudder under the wave of incoming bullets before exploding with a thunderous explosion. Was this the kind of thing her brother had dealt with thought Minazuki as see dove for cover? To her right stood Seig who quickly waved for everyone to follow him. Minazuki seeing that there was nothing she could do at the moment followed the others as the made a mad dash off the beach and towards the Snap Dragon Hangar Bay. Looking over her shoulders once more before reaching the hangar bay she watched as the Horned Mobile slice an unfortunate Zaku in half with a beam saber. A tear fell from her eyes at the lost of another brave soul.

As Minazuki entered the hangar she noticed that her brother was not with them. With a panicked look she looked at all the other corps members but her brother was nowhere to be seen. Minazuki felt suddenly felt very small and very venerable, she had never been away from her brother this long in her life and it worried as she looked for his warm assuring smile and his gentle voice soothing her worries. “Alright people we are moving out to reinforce the colony's orbital defense it seems a large force was wiped out by a group of mobile suit of unknown origin and assumed to be under Feddie control. So I want Ballack and Minazuki to go with Cronus to fortify the outer defense. Pen Pen and Maxwell I want you two guarding the hangar. Meanwhile I am going to retrieve the Second Lieutenant onboard the carrier and pick him up. All right people haul ass!!" barked Seig in a commanding tone befitting a commander of his position. Minazuki suddenly realized Seig was sending her on her first mission. "Commander I don't have a mobile to use there is no way I can help!" squeaked Minazuki who was having doubts about upcoming battle. Simulation combat in a controlled environment is one thing but in actual combat is a different thing entirely. "Oh that? You will be using your brother's unit in this battle Ensign Minazuki so get ready for combat we leave in five!!" said Seig with a raised eyebrow before barking at several frantic techs that milled about the hangar bay. Sighing to herself she walked up to the silent titan that was her brother's mobile suit. At least in spirit her brother would be with her on this mission where ever he was. Quickly throwing on a Pink Flight Suit she quickly climbed the scaffolding and entered the cockpit. The air inside smelled of her brother and it quieted her nerves. Quickly turning on the control panel and closing the cockpit hatch Minazuki looked to see on the forward dashboard as a picture of her brother and herself five years ago smiling back at her. The picture calmed her nerves as began to move the Green machine forward as it joined Cronus and Ballack at the triple deployment Catapults. Over the comm. the voice of Seig could be heard, “Alright boys and girls this mission is simple protecting the colony from those feddies while I go swing and pick up Nagatsu so hold the line till I get back!!" With those words Minazuki was launched into space. Kick on the boosters she right the Zaku her heart racing quickly scanning the area she pick up a cluster of six hostile units floating nearby in space. "You guys move forward while I lay some covering fire for you. said Ballack as he aimed his bazooka taking careful aim unleashing a blast that tore right by Minazuki making her involuntarily yelp. “Hey Mina calm down you don't want your brother to know you wussed out on your first mission." snickered Cronus before unleash a barrage from his own bazooka. “I am not a wuss Cronus!!!!" screamed Minazuki as she unleashed a blast from her bazooka as well. The three shells hit their mark blowing apart three unsuspecting federation mobile suits. So much death thought Minazuki as she readied her bazooka for another shot. Cronus seeing the opportunity of the surprise attack booster forward madly switching quickly to his machine gun and unleash a torrent of machine gun fire downing another Feddie. Throwing her MS full throttle Minazuki quickly switch to her Heat Hawk slamming it into another federation mobile suit killing the pilot instantly. The remaining Feddie let out a scream over its comm. as Minazuki rapidly switched to the shotgun pumping a round in the unfortunate cowards back hitting the generator causing a violent explosion which shook her entire MS. " Nice job there Minazuki you sure as hell proved me wrong!" laughed Cronus who now floated next to her. She had actually won and she had taken out three enemy mobile suits by herself without her brother at her side. Tears of joy streamed down her face as she thought to her how proud her brother would be. Just then a Musai pulled up behind them and the trio fired their boosters and landed in the ship's hangar bay.

Chapter 6: Disturbing Vision[/color]

A bright light shone in Suranai's face that seemed to pierce him to his very being soul. Try as he might he couldn't close his eyes from the burning light. Above the light came a voice, “Test Subject A seems to be highly resistant to solar flare type conditions and only showing slight discomfort. Proceeding with ocular extraction." Suranai didn't like where this was going or liked this talk about test subject which seemed to be him thought Suranai uneasily. Two large shadowy hands seem to descend from the light and grasping both sides of head. Suranai struggled to break free from the monstrous hands, but to no avail. What was with people and wanting to make him suffer so? There was a flash light and blinding pain then darkness. Suranai felt a wet sticky liquid on his cheeks and he knew that he was bleeding and quite badly. The voice spoke again, “Removal was successful Test Subject A pain margin within expectable parameters. Beginning new ocular transplantation. "Leave me alone for gods’ sake!!" screamed Suranai as he struggled to break free but was completely and utter helpless under the voice control. To his left he heard a voice faint at first but screamed in utter terror and fear, "Noooo what are you doing to my brother!!!" screamed a small girl's voice. Suddenly there was a slapping sound and a cry of pain and small thump. “Get back in line Test Subject B you are not allowed in here!!" snapped the voice again. Angrily Pure rage and anger filled Suranai as he screamed at the top of his lungs, “Leave her alone you have your test subject I don't care what you do to me just spare her from this madness." Breathing heavily from the exertion he lay back exhausted. "Very well Test Subject A I will spare your little sister from the experiments but don't forget that they will be painful and arduous so unless we finally unlock your unique genome you are mine forever."


Suranai suddenly snapped awake breathing heavily as sweat poured down his face as he slowed reach for his face touching his eyes gingerly. Another dream why did they plague him? Was he doomed to be forever tormented by these disturbing visions? A yawn came from the other side of the room and the lights kicked on. Blinking owlishly he saw Minazuki stretch and stand. It had been two days since they little encounter in the Loum Providence with the mysterious Federation force that invaded the colony. Unfortunately the Federation got their hands on the recovered Project Victory. If Seig had just given him more time he could have mopped the floor with that horned mobile suit. Suranai was brought back from his musing from a quick crack on the head by Minazuki, "Some people actually like to sleep you know Big Brother" said Minazuki with a very dark look on her face. In Suranai's mind if he faced down the entire federation by himself he was more terrified of that expression on his sister's face. Boxing her brother's ears Minazuki couldn't help but wondering why her brother was always plague by these nightmare night after night it seemed her brother was reliving some past event and whatever it was there was nothing she could do to comfort him. Minazuki gently hugged her brother and cried. Totally confused by his sister's crying gently held his sister rocked his sister to sleep like a mother would do to a child singing quietly to himself.

Seeing that his sister had fallen asleep he smiled and gently lifted taking her back to her part of their small cabin and laying back in her bed. Covering her gently with a blanket he ruffled her hair gently as he gazed out the window into the large blue sphere below them. Tomorrow they would be down there fighting for their country as the Snap Dragons would be the sharpened point of the lance in which Zeon would drive the Federation back.

Chapter 7: Down to Earth the Dragon Falls[/color]



The following morning after and a light breakfast both Suranai and Minazuki rushed to the mission debriefing room quickly follow by several other pilots of the Snap Dragon corps who were also rushing to attend the upcoming mission that would either make or break the this War. This would be the greatest day of the Snap Dragon Corps. Illustrious career from it beginning several months earlier at the One Week Battle and later the Battle of Loum. Each time the Snap Dragon corps had returned from every battle not losing a single pilot. If pilot who joined the Corps ever felt despair they would remember they were the elite of the elite, warriors without peer. However missions of late had been sub par and many members were second guessing their leadership which put a great deal of stress on Suranai. However he best at ease earlier when Minazuki had been hovering over him for the last several hours as he overlooked the final preparations of the pod that would be dropping Seig's, Minazuki’s, and his own Mobile Suit to the Earth below. Minazuki had not left him alone the entire time as she hopped and skipped behind him. He could really blame her she had finally gotten a mobile suit of her own. It had shone brightly with it brand new emerald paint job as the proud newly inducted Zaku 2. "Look big brother look I finally got my own and new model no less!" Suranai remembered his sister giggling. After ruffling her hair he helped her with the supplies and weapons since on this mission there would be no returning to the Musai and no waves and waves of supplies at their disposal, they were going into enemy territory and there would be no time to prepare except now. He still could remember Minazuki insisting in loading fifty pounds of chocolate it warmed his heart she was taking this whole war so light hearted. He knew that once this war picked he might lose his darling little sister so every moment he would have he would make sure that it was as happy as he could possible make it for her even if it meant wasting precious cargo space for chocolate. He would just simply take his sister's share of supplies however it would mean their small living would just be a little more spacious and have less of their possessions from Side 6. "Come on big brother we are going to be late at this rate!!" said Minazuki yelled to her brother as they floated down the hall bringing Suranai back to the present. Grabbing a hallway rail they accelerated down the hall and entered the briefing room as Seig was about to start.



Seeing that everyone had arrived Seig mentioned for the lights to be dimmed, a large map appeared on the briefing room monitor. "Alright boys and girls we are going to be deployed on the central front taking out a small force in the area in order to secure a drop point for our troops each group will consist of five members I will be taking Suranai, Pentecost, Maxwell, and Ballack and hitting this small base here" said Seig mentioning to the map to a large area labeled dropping zone and then moving upwards on the map towards a map labeled 'Objective A’. " Cronus I am leaving you in charge of Minazuki, Mencia, and Ram you four will be taking support role on this mission and be attacking this target" said Seig now mentioning towards another area just little left of 'Objective A' labeled aptly 'Objective B'. "Keep in mind people we are hitting the ground running on this mission so I don't want to hear anyone complaining they can't keep up. This mission is vital to the invasion. We don't expect much resistance since those feddies don't have any mobile suits of their own." said Seig eying those who had been involved in the operation in Loum since the mission had been deemed classified. Suranai didn't like this idea of lying to the others and he felt a slight squeeze on his armored hand. He looked down to see the worried look of Minazuki looking back at him. Unlike the many people Suranai had met in his life he always felt that only Minazuki knew what he was thinking and he she. The look said to him that they should tell the others about what happened on the Loum colony. Suranai simply thought back that it wasn't their call and should still keep their guard. Minazuki seemed to understand what he was thinking and nodded back. Seig continued with his battle plan, “Those going with me will be taking out several known Federation Forces in order to secure the area for other drops. Cronus' team will begin taking out the enemy supply line to this area and seizing any supplies for the front lines. Afterwards we will be setting up base camp and prepare for the long haul and further orders. Alright people move out to your designated and I want to every one of you alive when this mission is over Dismiss people!" Wow Seig seemed to have shaped up for the upcoming battle thought Suranai, it had seem whatever had been bothering the him was pushed to the back of his mind and was showing everyone why he had been promoted to commander of this Corps.



"Second Lieutenant Nagatsu may I have a word with you and your sister?" Walking over to their commanding officer they faced Seig. "Now I understand that high command ordered that I should never separate you too for long but we don't have the luxury of large contingents on pilots to back us up and we are covering a for some new chapter inducted for this battle something by the name of the Desert Jack Rabbit or something and since Maxwell's poor performance in the last skirmish over Side 7 I want to keep an eye on him. Therefore Ensign Minazuki I am ordering to help Captain Cronus with his operation since from what I read on his report you are quite an ace." Suranai looked at his sister questioningly. "Oh yeah I borrowed your Zaku on the last mission and kind of helped out." said Minazuki as she giggled to herself while sticking out her tongue slightly. "Oh is that so Mina? Well I am proud you did so well" as Suranai gave his sister a gentle hug. Minazuki was highly shocked since her brother had never as far as she could remember had ever hugged usually she was the one hugging him and cheering him up. “Thanks big brother that means a lot coming from you." smiled Minazuki. "Uhhhh......okay enough of the lovely dovey sibling routine it’s starting to make me re--" began Seig before being silence by a very dark look from Minazuki who promptly sent him flying cross the room! "When you have a wonderful brother like mine of course I am going to show it and I don't want to hear that from you again you got that!!" Seig suddenly had a great deal of respect for this relationship and started to think may these two weren't so bad if it wasn't for the fact he just got his ass handed to him by a little girl. “I will remember that from now on" muttered Seig who then laughed. At least he is taking this sort of abuse lightly Suranai could remember Cronus first meeting Minazuki as he tried to court her and basically for lack of better word ended up face down in a gutter unconscious. "Since you two are with me we better get down to the hangar bay.



After an hour of preparations the entire corps was ready for deployment each pod was with their pilots inside their individual mobile suits wait for the drop into Terra Firma's atmosphere and the war that would ensue below. Each pilot waited in the cool darkness of the mobile steeling them fro the upcoming battle while others prayed to whatever gods they believed I. Suranai on the other had to listen to his sister babble about all the different ways she liked eating chocolate which Minazuki tended to do when she was either excited or nervous. He didn't mind much since he knew his sister was more than capable of handling herself on such a simple mission. The pod lurch forward from the hangar bay dropping into the recesses of space. Suranai was thrown back in his cockpit seat as the pod was caught in the earth gravity and yank violently to the earth's surface. He could hear his sister yelp in shock and start giggling. Smiling to himself his lightly touched the picture on the front control panel of his sister and himself and closed his eyes as the violent rocking from their descent rocked the pod. Just as quickly as the rocking began it ended suddenly as the pod stuck the earth with a thunderous thud. They had arrived. "Alright people power up your mobile suits and move out!!" roared Seig over the comm. as the pod hatch revealing a desert wasteland. This would be the battle in which the Federation would fall and he and the Snap Dragons would be at the head of their destruction.
