(Sorry I have to post this a bit early. Some traveling came up and I'm not sure how much internet time I will have in the next few days) Sad Story: Sorowful Memories Misty confronts Aki at the respective tower. There, Misty reveals the tragic story of her past. Meanwhile, Yusei is... Scary Aki at the end. Like I remember it.
But still, if it has badass Aki in it, this is bound to be an epic episode . . . even if they'll bring back Divine. And if Yusei appears and Aki's controlled . . .
Oh no. Oh-frickin'-no.
I can handle JACK/Carly as a canon couple just fine. But Faithshipping? I bet that's what the writers are up to with the whole AkibeingcontrolledbyDivine thing.

To be honest, the idea of Divine returning and taking over Aki's mind sickens me. Aki was once a badass decent chick, now she's a whiny damsel in distress. And because of his role in the Fortune Cup, Yusei's got to become her knight in shining armour. Despite what past Aki had, isn't it supposed to be Ruka who's the timid girl yet to grow up? The idea of Divine for 60 and 61 will only provoke another flood of Faithshipping. Yusei does not feel about her that way, but events like this don't help to prove it.
My opinion on this episode is likely to be similar to my feeling about the animation. Aki should fight her own battles without dragging Yusei into it, especially where it concerns Divine.
/anti-Faithshipping rant. 'Revive the badass Aki!'

In cases like these, I wonder what the ratings for 5D's are. The writers are making bad plot twists recently. Really bad.
The only other option that I think the writers should consider instead of this Faithshipping crap they're implying is . . . screw Divine, put him in Hell along with Rally, and let Aki be badass on her own. Even better, let episode 40 repeat itself (except for the part where Martha was implying things). I mean, that implied no Faithshipping whatsoever. (Even though the writers were trying. =/)
And the only relationship between Aki and Yusei that I know of at this point would be sibling like. That's it. Not anything more.
Besides, my theory about Yusei refuses to let this happen anyway.

i dont think theyre seriously implying Faithshipping AT ALL.
they already have their romance bit. JACK, Carly, Mikage and Ushio.
HOWEVER, they ARE trying to make a very strong bond between Yusei and Aki. Aki is lost right now and needs Yusei to help her back on her feet. you have to remember shes only JUST started thinking for herself.
yes, aki is kinda intolerable right now, but without a weak bit in her character, she cant develope stronger. Yusei is the bond that ties everyone together, and thats why he has to be the one to do this.
yes, i agree that bringing back Divine is cheap but IT DOES MAKE SENSE. Aslla Piscu ate him before he became pancaeks. we all know that the losers of Yami no Games become victim of the host.
Aki is going to be annoying, Divine is gonna be MORE annoying, Yusei will give another friendship speech... but in the end we'll learn Misty's backstory, get closure on Arcadia, and move on to the next Arc.
any faithshipping implications were simply empty teasing. although Aki may get rediculously attached.

i'm more interesting in hearing about Misty and her brother really.
Sorry back in the YF days I said all of the above mentioned about aki and everyone got pissy and omg you can't say that about her. Well I did and look I was right and it was true. The writers turned the strongest female character into a cheerleading sidekick who seems to desperately need the main hero. It happens all the time in YGO. Sorry I can't name one strong female character who stayed strong and popular.

Kujaku Mai WAS strong. in the manga. even AFTER she lost to Marik. she still gave a tough fight. in the Anime that turned her into a lost needy whiny bishie that desperately had to jump Jounouchi.
Anzu WAS strong... but again, about midway through Duelist Kingdom she ceased being a strong opinionated tomboy and began being a girly girl that does nothing but give out speeches.
Ishizu WAS strong but after she lost to Kaiba, she kinda... wimped out completely. though that was mainly due to the fact her Millennium Item broke when Kaiba changed the future. XD
and in this series we have TWO strong females (main cast). neither of them are Aki. Ruka, although sickly, is VERY strong. she may depend on Rua but shes also 11 years old and Rua is the only family she sees. the other, ironically, has been Carly. just consider all the stuff Carly did on her own. she ended up getting killed but that took a lot of courage.
so far, our strongest two women in this series is an 11-year-old and a goofy reporter.
but if we included supporting cast... we also have Martha. But aki is definitely not on the Strong list. her entire character centers around her weakness. in time, shell develop stronger but in the meantime.... were stuck with this.
this duel, HOPEFULLY, will help get in some development. though mosrt likely well just make due with Misty backstory.

Ya Carly did kinda get to be one of the strongs at least she was honnored by getting a D wheel.

its been fairly obvious since Aki vs Yusei 1 that aki is weak. obviously i didnt voice this opinion cuz on YF over half the ppl in discussion were Aki-Fanboys. WTB More Ruka Duels~! Shes only gotten ONE duel with her own deck. >__< oh well. ima just sit and lol at Misty being a lizard-face.  *mature* (i just wonder how much this Divine drama is gonna cut in on our Misty action... ugh... Yusei is ALWAYS stealing screentime.) |

kay so...
the pairing ACTUALLY implied this episode is UshioxMikage.
it doesnt look like Yusei will duel Divine at all, IF ANYTHING, Divine is gonna mess with Yusei awhile whilst their discussion conveniently ties up loose ends. the duel itself is nothing big, and Aki will seemingly save herself from her own rage. hopefully, this means shell stand on her own.
also since Divine wont be out of the picture any time soon....
JACK vs Divine? yes yes? PLZ??? do want. ^^

That pretty much sums up what I felt about the episode mostly.
- Amusement park? An abandoned amusement park? You have got to be kidding me . . . And a house of MIRRORS no less . . .
-Dueling from behind a mirror . . . Well, there's a new idea.
-So THAT'S Misty's brother. He seemed like a nice kid. ;P
-Either Misty's depression caused her to not see that curve or she's a reckless driver. Betting on the first one, though.
-Divine can go rot in hell for all that I care, according to this episode. He couldn't fool me with that disguise. Then, there's him beating the living crap out of Yusei and trying to drown him and THEN, there's him showing up IN THE MIDDLE of Misty vs Aki and brainwashing Aki into a badass person again. Honestly. The turning Aki into a badass person wasn't that bad, though I wish Aki could have done that without Divine's help, but GET RID OF HIM FOR GOOD NEXT TIME. Honestly. He's nothing but an annoying prick as far as I'm concerned.
-Ugh @ Aki and Divine moment.
-Brainwashed Aki = My nightmares probably until the end of the duel.
-Well, whaddaya know? A card in Aki's deck called Black Rose Witch. Who didn't see that coming?
-Black Rose Dragon shattering the windows was epic.
Overall, flashbacks were good, but Divine ruined the episode for me . . . big time.

i hate Divine with a passion. he shoulda stayed pancakes. but we gotta endure these idiotic blows i suppose. thats why im hoping on a JACK and Divine grudgematch.... make SOME use out of em bringing back that bugger.
also, how are so many people freely roaming inside a D*Signer territory? arent they afraid of being eaten by the Earthbound god? and where are the flaming walls? D:
but yes. i want Divine to die painfully.

Ok so I'm know to be random here's some randomness.
Where's Crow? One moment he's right with the Yusei group the next gone. Maybe he went back to the nest to see if his kids were back now that Rudger was defeted??
Some people just can't stay as a pancake. Well at least half his face is messed up.
Lol the model wants to duel in the house of mirrors. Doesn't anyone else catch the symbolism in that one. Oh well odd as it was it makes it a bit more interesting then them just standing around.
Oh ya and if someone killed my sibling you bet I'd go after their careless a@# wether they ment to or not. Though I did feel slightly bad for Aki when she realized what she did. then I got over it.
